There are countless stories of something that has gone wrong for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing person and the identifying factor in these testimonies is a poor quality interpretation. Whether it be a prescribed medication gone wrong, incorrect benefits from the social security office, a failed class in school, or a lost potential job because of a poor interview, these are the undeserved realities that our Deaf and Hard of Hearing members face. That is why our agency values certified interpreters and quality interpretations so that the Deaf and Hard of Hearing can achieve their actual potentials through equal communication access. Through our interpretation services, our community members can receive appropriate medical attention, higher employment percentages, increased graduation rates, and be provided better life experiences. We do this because people matter and equal access through quality interpretations can help make aspirations become a reality.
